Stay Where I Can See You Poem by Lauren Coles

Stay Where I Can See You

Stay where I can see you
Kids want to be kids,
Some parents don't want to keep a eye on their kids,
Any place you go is scary it'll feel like Halloween everyday,
Kids don't want to hold your hand,
They have short attention spans,
You may go to the bathroom and you think that they will be fine,
When you get out of the bathroom they are nowhere to be found,
It's a parent's worst nightmare,
You may be in a area that is unfamiliar,
Not all things are good so we must always remember to love our kids weather they are bad or good,
Kids won't learn to follow the rules if you keep giving them what they want and not taking something away,
It doesn't mean you have to take it away from them forever because forever doesn't seem long to you but forever seems like a long period of time if you are a child.
